David B. Herman, M.D., F.A.A.P.
Dr. David Herman grew up in Cinncinnati, Ohio. For his undergraduate education, Dr. Herman chose Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, where he received a degree in chemistry and graduated summa cum laude. He subsequently attended Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, for his medical education. Dr. Herman was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society for his achievements during medical school. He completed his pediatric residency training at St. Louis Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Herman practiced pediatrics in Alton, Illinois, for several years before joining Bard and Didriksen Pediatrics in 2006. His current hospital affiliations include Anderson Hospital, St. Anthony’s Hospital in Alton, SSM Cardinal Glennon Children’s Medical Center, and St. Louis Children’s Hospital. Dr. Herman acts as a preceptor for the Community Outreach Pediatric Education Program at St. Louis Children’s Hospital. As a part of this program, he provides a pediatric resident with the opportunity to gain valuable experience while working with a community pediatrician. Dr. Herman is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and has been board-certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics.
Dr. Herman is a magician at heart, and he is always showing off new magic tricks around the office. Watch out, though, since Dr. Herman also likes to play practical jokes on his co-workers. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three children.
