




Dr. Angela Bard grew up in Indiana. She distinguished herself early by graduating as valedictorian of her high school class at Ben Davis High School in Indianapolis. She officially became an Indiana Hoosier when she decided to continue her education at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. After finishing her undergraduate education, she began her medical education at Indiana University School of Medicine, where she discovered her love of pediatrics. Thus, she continued her training in pediatrics at Riley Children’s Hospital in Indianapolis. After graduating from residency, she stayed at Riley Hospital for a year staffing the Level II nursery and lecturing at the medical school.
Dr. Bard moved to this area after completing her training in Indiana. During her distinguished career in Illinois, she has provided exemplary care for the children of the area, along with playing important roles on many boards and committees, including the Executive Boards at Anderson Hospital and St. Louis Children’s Hospital, the Illinois State Medical Society, Madison County Medical Society, and the Steering Committee for Community Outreach Pediatric Experience at St. Louis Children’s Hospital. She has also served as the President of the Medical Staff and the Chairperson of the Department of Pediatrics at Anderson Hospital. Her current hospital affiliations include Anderson Hospital, SSM Cardinal Glennon Children’s Medical Center, and St. Louis Children’s Hospital. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and she has been board-certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics. She is also an Associate Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis.
Dr. Bard serves as a preceptor for the Community Outreach Pediatric Experience Program at St. Louis Children’s Hospital. As a part of this program, Dr. Bard devotes one afternoon per week helping to educate a pediatric resident from St. Louis Children’s Hospital about the many aspects of being a pediatrician.
In her spare time, Dr. Bard loves to spend time with her two children and her husband.
